Another year over and another year of opportunity ahead. Nothing says “New Year” like champagne so at the Addison Happy Hour on New Year’s Eve we popped open several bottles and had a champagne tasting. We started off with a sweeter pink champagne, moved on to a dry champagne and a California sparkling wine and finished off with the very dry Louis Roederer that we sell here at the inn. The two big favorites? Surprisingly, both ends of the taste scale were favored with they were the sweet and the very dry being the two most popular.
What to do with the champagne that we didn’t finish last night? Mimosas for breakfast!
