The Top Ameila Island Tours for Every Interest and Adventure

Historic District Tours

There are tours of the Historic District that are suitable for everyone. Walking tours are self-guided or led by docents from the Amelia Island Museum of History (904-261-7378).

Amelia Island Historic Tours offers air-conditioned van tours of the downtown historic district as well as other historic sites on Amelia Island. The Eight Flags tour (90 minutes) will take you on a journey from the time the Timucua Indians inhabited Amelia Island into the modern-day shrimping industry. Anchor Trolley and Transport offers a 1.5 hour of the downtown historic district, Old Town Fernandina, the Silk Stocking District, and other amazing locations along the way. Tours are daily at 11:30AM and 1:30PM. Tickets may be purchased online at Anchor Trolley Tours or from the Amelia River Cruises kiosk in the north parking lot of the marina. Tours depart from this parking lot.

Drive your own 2 man catamaran, while a guide (on his boat) leads you to Fort Clinch, Cumberland Island, Ga and throughout the backwater of Amelia Island seeking wildlife, sea life, and learning some history along the way.
